I’m still just a big kid at heart, I think. I love the holidays; I love setting-up the Christmas tree, putting the ornaments on, remembering holidays past. As an adult, I love it no less — and the annual tradition has been expanded by sharing Hanukkah celebrations with Jewish friends. No matter what you celebrate, or how, the holiday season is about being together with friends and family, being in the moment, and sharing a little love. That’s truly what Christmas means to me.
Christmas here in Colorado is a special thing. Christmas and snow go hand-in-hand, and I was inspired this year to write a song about it — and the meaning of Christmas for me. It’s Christmas in Colorado was the result.
I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a bit inspired on this one by Colorado’s own Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, and their old song, Colorado Christmas, which has been one of my favorite holiday songs for a very long time.
Happy holidays, everyone!
